At the end of June, Dean and social studies teacher Charlene Levi posted a message to the Google Classroom for rising seniors about the school’s food ordering policy. She wrote that “our food ordering policy is crystal clear: all food deliveries are a no-go.” With food delivery services greatly expanding since the pandemic, many students hope to order food from the outside world directly to the school. However, according to the policy, though seniors are free to get lunch at the Queens College campus, no student should be ordering food directly to the school via delivery apps.
The Classic asked one Harrisite from each grade and one staff member to express their thoughts on this topic. Below are their responses:
