On April 23, Harrisites in Elizabethan-era attire dashed into classrooms and passionately recited Shakespearean sonnets during second band.
The performances were held by students in the Shakespearean drama class, taught by English teacher Joseph Canzoneri to commemorate William Shakespeare’s birthday.
“I hope it spread the word about the works of William Shakespeare because a lot of people think it’s too hard but it has meaning and is worth the work,” said junior Jane Tekin, a drama student.
