With February almost halfway over, one of the month’s most anticipated day has arrived: Valentine’s Day. Though this day is centered around people that are actually in a relationship, single pringles can still get excited over these sweet Valentine’s Day Deals offered at various restaurants. Here are several places near Townsend Harris that you can take advantage of by visiting with friends, family, or your other half.
Qdoba – One of the most popular promotions of the day, Qdoba offers a free entree of equal or lesser value once you buy a separate entree. However, this isn’t what makes it the most talked-about promotion. The catch to this BOGO is that the customer has to pay in the form of a kiss, whether it be a significant other, a friend, a family member, a picture of a celebrity crush, or even yourself! With the closest Qdoba only an 18-minute bus ride away, be sure to stop by for a burrito or bowl after school for two meals at the price of one kiss.
Auntie Anne’s – Another popular place with BOGO on Valentine’s Day, you can look forward to Auntie Anne’s specially made heart-shaped pretzels in two flavors: Original and Cinnamon Sugar. These heart-shaped pretzels will only be available on February 14 throughout the nation, so make sure to take a quick bus ride to Flushing’s Auntie Anne’s and buy one to get another free.
Hooters – Though a short walk from Qdoba, this American chain restaurant has a very different twist than Qdoba’s BOGO lovefest. At Hooters, customers receive 10 free boneless wings when they buy 10 after shredding a picture of their ex. This untraditional “Shred Your Ex” promotion brings attention to the singles out there that may still have bitter feelings directed at their exes rather than new relationships.
Baskin Robbins – Even in the midst of winter, sharing a sundae with someone brings a certain warmth to many people. Right outside the Colden Auditorium, grab a limited edition Love & Kisses sundae to share for only $5 at Baskin Robbins. This sundae consists of scoops of Cherry Cordial with Hershey’s Kisses, their exclusive Love Potion 31 flavor, and the very berry Strawberry flavor. These scoops of ice cream are then topped with marshmallows, hot fudge, strawberries, whipped cream, almonds, and even more Hershey’s Kisses, hence the name.
