Opinion Roundup: Students share thankful thoughts about THHS for Thanksgiving
While oftentimes the opinion pages of The Classic share forceful opinions from students about what needs to be changed, for Thanksgiving, The Classic asked students to share thoughts about what they are grateful for about the THHS community. Here are thoughts from Harrisites across the student body.
Allyanne Ilasin, Senior Class of 2023:
I am thankful for the friendships I have formed here because without them I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
Kylie Galvin, Senior Class of 2023:
I am thankful for Mr. Wang because he has helped me so much throughout my college process.
Kaia Lain, Junior Class of 2024:
[I am thankful for] the environment the Zen Den creates for students that are struggling with mental health.
Anila Tinaj, Junior Class of 2024:
[I am thankful for] the people I am surrounded by every day that motivate me and push me to be a better person.
Amala Madubuko, Sophomore Class of 2025:
[I am thankful for] the education provided [here] because it allows me to expand into higher education easier.
Joseph Moreira, Sophomore Class of 2025:
[I am thankful for being given] the opportunity to be here. There’s over 9,000 students that are fighting for this seat, and I am grateful that I have been chosen.
Sydney Cao, Freshman Class of 2026:
[I am thankful for] the teachers here. They are nicer than past teachers that I have experienced because they push me to be a better student
