End of fall semester brings multiple events: Snowcoming and Winter Party

On January 10, the Student Union hosted the very first Snowcoming at THHS. Before the dance, students spectated and cheered on the boys varsity basketball game against Academy of American Studies, resulting in a win of 70-40. The night was filled fun, free snacks and drinks, and lots of dancing. Additionally on January 17, the sophomore grade leaders hosted a winter party that included activities like cookie decorating, gingerbread house competition, and pie in the face. For a small cost, students were able to pie teachers with whipped cream gathering for a fun event at the end of the first semester. Aidan Ng is a sophomore at Townsend Harris High School who initially started video editing as a hobby during the pandemic. It was his big sib who introduced him to The Classic in his freshman year. Aidan's favorite memory with the Classic was filming and editing The Witching Hour video with his big sib.

Ryan Chen, Managing Editor

Ryan Chen is a sophomore at THHS. In his free time, he loves to do anything related to cameras (with still photography being his favorite), and The Classic has allowed him to explore those passions. He's happy to be part of The Classic, which has always been welcoming, supportive, and full of amazing people running this one-of-a-kind newspaper.
