On April 2, student musicians (and their instructors) from Forest Hills High School (FHHS) joined student musicians (and their instructors) from Townsend Harris High School for the “Celebrating Music 2025” concert, held in the THHS auditorium.
THHS Orchestra conductor Christopher Lee shared images and videos from the concert for The Classic to publish. The concert featured two performances of the THHS Jazz Band (led by THHS Band Director Kevin Heathwood), two performances of the FHHS Symphonic Strings orchestra (led by FHHS conductor William Chen), one performance by the FHHS Concert Choir (led by choir co-directors Robert Koch and Ryan King), and one performance by the “Collaboration Ensemble.” The ensemble featured musicians from the THHS Symphony Orchestra, the FHHS Symphonic Strings Orchestra, and the FHHS Concert Choir. Mr. Lee conducted the Collaboration Ensemble as they played Mozart’s “Requiem.” The Collaboration Ensemble’s performance of Mozart’s “Requiem” is featured above. You can see the rest of the concert here.
