Sweets in Greenpoint: Peter Pan Donuts

HTML tutorial

Among all sweets, I really think donuts are my favorite. And sure, Dunkin Donuts are pretty good, but if you’re looking for the real thing to blow you away, going to an old fashioned bakery is the way to go. There are not many in New York that specialize in donuts, but Peter Pan Donut and Pastry Shop in the Polish neighborhood of Greenpoint in Brooklyn certainly does. The shop offers a wide variety of flavors, including the ever-popular red velvet, the classic glazed and many with creams and jellies instead. Though they run on the small size, buying them in bulk is commonplace and recommended and, as with many bakeries, the more you buy, the better the deal. The donuts are cooked the morning of, and the freshness is clear upon taking the first bite. The donut does not fall apart, but it is not hard and uncomfortable to bite into either. The ambience of the shop is also very nice, with an old counter still in use, and the donuts and other pastries in plain sight to the patron. The service is always quick, efficient, and very polite. I highly recommend this donut shop to anyone willing to take the long train ride, or who lives in the area. The quality is really unmatched, and you can get a half dozen or a whole dozen and have them in your house for a whole week, or even share them with your kids if you are a kind soul.
