Juniors Michelle Shin and  Hyemi Jeon started the Promoting Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) on May 8. The club collects information on animal welfare and meets weekly to discuss these topics. As the club grows, Michelle is hoping to raise general awareness about animal cruelty by distributing flyers throughout the school. She wants to create informative videos and write petitions to organizations that mistreat animals. As for next year, the club hopes to expand their impact by helping out at local animal shelters. The club meets on Thursdays in 411.
