In late January, members of the Class of 2026 attended their class trip at Brooklyn’s Ferox Ninja Park, a venue that offers activities like trampoline jumping, climbing, and zip lining.
Junior Grade Leaders took on much of the planning for the trip. Coordinator of Student Activities Jaime Baranoff said, “We had suggested ice skating and other things, but they were very adamant that the junior trip should be somewhere new and different.”
Junior Class President Jenna Abdelhamid said, “I wanted for the trip to be as fun as possible, especially because of all the pressure we feel as juniors [at THHS].”
Many juniors said the trip was planned exceptionally well and that they were grateful for how smoothly everything went. Junior Kashish Kamu said, “The instructions were pretty clear and it was nice that they had the socks out and ready for us to grab and go. There was also staff watching over students making sure no one was hurt, which was good.”
Junior Nikki Saenz said, “I honestly had a better time than I thought I would. Going into the trip I wasn’t sure if it was going to be as fun as everyone was hyping it up to be, but it ended up being more than I imagined.”
Many said that they appreciated the new location. Kashish said, “I think the trampoline park was a good choice compared to the other trips of the past two years. It was very interactive and there was something for everyone. I enjoyed it.”
With the trip now over, Ms. Baranoff said there’s one more major activity on the horizon: “We really try to do one trip per grade per year, and the Juniors will have a banquet in May so that’s the next big thing to look forward to.”
