Townsend Harris High School and Queens College present this year’s 11th annual Humanities Symposium. Each year, seniors conduct research over two semesters and present their research at the culminating symposium. Each year has a theme, and this year’s research focus is on “The Ethics and Aesthetics of Friendship.” Seniors chose from a variety of challenging literary works and analyzed them through the lens of friendship. At the closing of the Humanities Symposium, awards were presented to the groups with the best presentation, close reading of text, research, and finally, best overall presentation.
