Nothing’s more exciting than saving money on good desserts. Craving something sweet but don’t have any money? Well don’t fret, various ice cream shops around Queens are celebrating National Ice Cream Day this Sunday, July 18. Here are the best–and worst–deals of the 2021 celebration.
BEST
Doordash: Delivered To Your Door
From July 15 to July 18, you can enjoy a free pint of ice cream from a grocery or convenience store with a purchase of $20 or more. Simply download the DoorDash app and use the promo code ‘ICECREAM’. Additionally, order Baskin-Robbins through Uber Eats, DoorDash or Postmates for $5 off purchases over $20.
Best for Repeat Customers: Carvel
Visit your local Carvel store and try their new Churro ice cream or crunchies dessert to receive a discount card that can be used on your next visit. The card will offer you surprise deals (like a free sundae, buy one get one deals, and more) when used. You can also visit their website to enter for a chance to win free ice cream for a year.
Best Value: Burger King
Although this fast food chain isn’t known for their ice cream, it outclasses most ice cream deals from other ice cream shops. Burger King offers a free soft serve cup/cone for the month of July with a one dollar purchase when you download the app.
WORST
Baskin-Robbins
Kids toy maker Spin Master is collaborating with Baskin-Robbins to offer a Kinetic Sand ice cream cone toy with a ten dollar purchase. It’s beautifully crafted into the shape of an ice cream cone and features mouthwatering scents such as Mint Chocolate and Strawberry Banana.
We’re not kidding.
Please don’t spend ten dollars to get this while supplies last.
NOT ICE CREAM BUT STILL BETTER THAN THE BASKIN ROBBINS’ DEAL
Not Ice Cream: 7 Eleven
Not into ice cream? Enjoy a free Small Slurpee with the 7REWARDS program, throughout the month of July. Just download the 7-Eleven app, and show the cashier your barcode on the homepage for a free beverage.
National Ice Cream day isn’t officially until Sunday, July 18, so keep an eye out for deals; some venues frequently announce their deals the day of or the deal before.
