Monday, March 25 was Holi, the Festival of Colors. The holiday was celebrated at Townsend Harris for the first time ever at an event hosted by the Freshman grade leaders, featuring dancing, Hindu foods, and colored powder.

Katherine Lian is a senior at Townsend High School who enjoys taking pictures, dancing, and trying new things. Her favorite memory with The Classic was her trip to Albany with her peers.

Bella is a senior at Townsend Harris High School who hopes to pursue a career that gives her the opportunity to help people. Outside of journalism, she enjoys playing volleyball and cooking. Her favorite Classic piece she worked on is Scenes from Prom 2024, where she remembers the seniors’ happy faces and the delicious ice cream. Her favorite Classic piece made by others is an article titled “Mr. Wang Retires After Ten Years Serving as a THHS Guidance Counselor,” by Intishar Chinho. Mr. Wang was her guidance counselor and she agreed with all the kind things said about him.

Intishar Chinho, a Junior, aspires to be a healthcare professional after graduation. Beyond the newsroom, he finds passion in archery. Of all the pieces he’s worked on in The Classic, both the photography for “S!NG” and Mr. Wang’s retirement article stand out as personal favorites. When it comes to the work of others, Intishar particularly liked Aidan Ng’s Six Flags physics trip video.
