Boys Basketball team wins first game of the 2024-2025 season

The Hawks defeated Queens Technical HS on Monday.

In the first matchup of the season, the Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Queens Technical High School 64-13. The Classic was there to livestream the game. You can watch the boys’ victory above.

Yasmeen is a junior at Townsend Harris High School. Although she is unsure of what career path she wants to pursue, she is content to follow her interests where they take her. Her favorite Classic piece she worked on is an in-depth report on the 2025 THHS robotics team, which helped hone her investigative journalism skills and led her to develop a thick skin. Her favorite Classic piece written by others is an article by the Editorial Board outlining reasons why the DOE should not ban cell phones. Unfortunately, the state of New York did not take that advice. To say that Yasmeen is heartbroken by the new law is an understatement.
