Starting the 2025-2026 school year, all New York public school students were introduced to the “bell to bell” cell phone policy, banning the usage all cell phone, smart watches, tablets, and other devices in schools. Townsend Harris High School decided to address this ban by using a velcro pouch where students should store their phones and the pouches are kept by the student throughout the day.
