Max Rosenthal, Managing Editor
Max is a junior at Townsend Harris High School. He hopes to pursue a career in journalism at a prestigious publication such as the New York Times. When he is not editing or conducting interviews for an article, Max enjoys practicing Spanish and going out to cafes with his friends. At those cafes he buys overpriced coffee, causing issues for his bank account. As of writing this, Max’s favorite piece he has worked on for The Classic is the news article about the new testing schedule that went into effect last fall. He got to hear a variety of student and teacher perspectives on the issue, making it fun to piece together with his team. He also enjoyed hosting the intermission segment for the FON 2025 livestreams and the spring musical with his fellow editors. His favorite Classic piece by others is a feature on how AI has had an impact on the college admissions process. He feels that it is well-written, putting the topic, which is as relevant as ever, within a larger context and still managing to connect it back to the Townsend Harris community through interviews.
